Buena Vista University is seeking an Associate Dean of Students.  This position will help ensure a positive co-curricular experience for all students. Responsibilities of the position will include the following: implement all portions of the student judicial process while serving as the primary Student Conduct Administrator, serve as lead contact for student retention matters, as well as assisting with such items as Orientation, Welcome Week, Validation, coordination of the Co-Curricular Advising program and alcohol education, and supervising the Offices of Student Activities & Leadership Development; Commuter Student Services; Intercultural Programs; Civic Engagement; Intramurals, Recreation & Outdoor Adventure; Counseling; Health and Wellness Services; Spiritual Life.

Master’s degree in student personnel, counseling, or a related field required and at least three years of full-time experience in student affairs and judicial process experience preferred. A background check will be conducted on the final candidate.

The Graduate Assistant will be expected to participate as an active member of the Residence Life. They will support and assist in fulfilling the mission, goals and direction of the Office of Residence Life, Office of Student Life, and Peru State College. The Graduate Assistant will reside at the Centennial Complex. This position serves as the Coordinator of the Fusion Program and Conferencing. The position will provide supervision for residence hall staff and residents in the Fusion Program. The Graduate Assistant will assist all conference services duties primarily during the summer months including but not limited to logistics, pre and post planning, and on-site hosting of clients.
